El bassar is a Scotland based voluntary arts initiative that was set up to develop a sensory garden for visually impaired children at Al Shurooq School for Blind, Beit Jala, Palestine. El Bassar’s first project took place in July/August 2009 in association with Al Shurooq School and Oyooni Mobile Eye Clinic. For information about this initiative please reference the blog.

This presetation will be given by visual artists Miriam Walsh & Melissa MacRobert, both graduates of art, space + nature. They spent one month in Palestine with fellow graduate, landscape architect Ronald Boer in the summer of 2009, where they built a garden for visually imparied children.
