Presents salon/workshop at Manifesta 8
Following their first salon at Homebase V in Berlin this September, AC are now heading to Murcia. You will find more details about AC, their project, and the salon programme in the pdf below and on our website www.acrowd.info
AC is a London-based research group interested in transdisciplinary collaborative practices, composed of artists, art writers and curators. It was founded in 2010 at Goldsmiths College, University of London, by six researchers of the Art Department’s PhD programme.
As a newly formed group AC does not have a collective past yet. Its profile to day draws from the kaleidoscopic depository of its members’ experiences and their synergies.
As an acronym AC stands for various meanings. It illustrates the different positions from and about which to speak. ‘Since each of us were several, there was already quite a crowd.’ (Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, A Thousand Plateaus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia, trans. Brian Massumi (Minneapolis: University of Minnesota Press, 1987), 3.)
Julia Martin, AC participant, currently studying for her PhD at Goldsmiths in London is a graduate of ASN.
